Economic Development Corp. of Jackson County
The Economic Development Corporation of Jackson County (EDC) was incorporated in 1977. The EDC is staffed and served by Accelerate Jackson County (previously The Enterprise Group of Jackson, Inc.) as we serve as Jackson County’s economic development agency. Their purpose is to bring quality jobs and new investment to the county and help existing businesses succeed. The EDC manages two financial incentive programs:
- The Revolving Loan Fund Program
- The Private Activity Bond Program, formerly known as the Industrial Development Revenue Bond Program.

EDC BOARD MEETING INFORMATION
The 2025 EDC Annual Board Meeting is scheduled for December 12, 2025, at 7:00 a.m.
EDC Board Meetings are held on an as-needed basis. Please check the bulletin board at the Jackson County Tower Building for upcoming meetings for 2025. Meetings are held at the County Tower Building, Commission Chambers on the 5th Floor at 120 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI 49201. Please contact Sara Owen, EDC Staff at 517-788-4455.
