While building a new branch location in Spring Arbor Township at the location of the former Kingspoint Auto Service, American 1 Credit Union faced unforeseen challenges due to their new property being a former gas and service station. The Jackson County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (JCBRA) stepped in quickly to assist. Throughout the entire process, from the initial meeting, application, initiating contact with EGLE, to approval of our Brownfield Grant by Jackson County and Spring Arbor Township, the professionalism, knowledge, and dedication of the team at Accelerate Jackson/JCBRA was second to none. Their guidance and support were unparalleled. American 1 Credit Union’s Spring Arbor Branch is now open and providing financial wellness in our community through personal everyday banking, which would not have been possible without the opportunity provided through the approved Brownfield funding and the expertise of the JCBRA.
